Fitment, in plain terms
Built for the 1996–2002 Toyota 4Runner, the N180/N185 3rd generation, as a swap for the chrome-trimmed, horizontal-slatted factory grille. It does not fit 1990–1995 2nd gen trucks, a different platform entirely. Unsure of your year? The model year on your title or door jamb sticker settles it.
In the box
- One-piece matte black grille shell with molded TOYOTA lettering
- Mounting hardware and clips
- Optionally, amber raptor-style LED marker lights that wire into your parking light circuit
Install notes
- Open the hood and remove the clips/screws securing the factory grille — a handful, all reachable from the top and front.
- Release the factory grille's retaining tabs and pull it forward and out.
- Seat the new grille, align the tabs, and secure it with the supplied hardware.
- Running the LED lights? Tap the wiring into the parking light circuit per the included leads; it is basic splicing and the only step that takes more than hand tools.
- Total time: 20–40 minutes with hand tools, no bumper removal, no drilling on the standard install.

Does it fit 2001–2002 facelift trucks?
Yes, it is listed for 1996–2002. Our install guide notes the shell still fits the facelift opening, but a small number of facelift trucks have owner-reported clip variance, so email us your year if you want it confirmed before you order.
Which headlights pair with it?
Our install guide puts it bluntly: a blacked-out grille next to yellowed factory headlights looks half-done. Pair it with the Black Housing Headlights ($349.99) or LED Projector Headlights ($559.99) — that combination is the classic 3rd gen refresh.
What does shipping cost, and can I return it?
$39.98 flat-rate US shipping, tracked. The grille mounts to a specific truck, and our Return Policy is plain: “Anything that mounts to a specific truck is final sale once shipped”. Email us your year before you order if you want fitment confirmed.
